So, how does this work?

Before you book

Let's meet!

Call me to make an appointment for a pre-booking consultation. Come into my studio and stay a while. You can ask all of your questions; take a look at the different products on offer and we can chat about how you would like your wedding or session customized . No obligation, ever!

If you decide that you want to book with me, we can go over all of the paperwork and start making plans immediately. We will get you on our schedule. For weddings we will talk about your big day and for portrait sessions  we will take a look at some locations. Of course, if you have a location that is special to you, let me know and we can plan your session there.

After you book

Payment:   A non-refundable retainer for your wedding day or session fee is due at the time of booking. This retainer reserves your session date and time and assures that your chosen date will not be booked by anyone else.

Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card.

Between booking and your wedding or portrait session we will stay in touch.

Weddings: We will plan your wedding day timeline, go over your shot lists and plan all of the  details of your day. You can call, email & text me as many times as you would like. We will, of course meet again before your big day.

Portrait sessions: I will send you links to information about your session, what to expect, what to wear etc and I encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas about your session with me.

On the day

Weddings: With all of the details worked out before your wedding day, all  you have to do on the day is enjoy your wedding. It's your day!

PortraitsWith all the details worked out before your session, all you have to do on the day is meet me at your chosen location and have fun.

FAQs

PORTRAITS

What should I wear?

First and foremost, you should wear something comfortable. It is best to wear plain, blocked colors rather than bold or small patterns. We will have decided, in advance whether you want to be smart, dressy, casual or all three. If you are a family group or couple it is best to coordinate your outfits. This does not mean that you have to wear matching outfits, you can choose coordinating colors. You will receive a link to our digital "What to Wear Guide" magazine when you book.

What if I want my horse, dog, cat, best friend, skis, golf clubs etc etc....in my photos?

I am happy to include anything in the photo that you would like to include. Bear in mind that if you want your horse or pet in the photo we will have to arrange the location accordingly.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Regardless of the weather we will meet at your chosen location. Weather in Colorado changes from one minute to the next so it might be pouring with rain one minute and clear the next. If it continues to rain heavily for more than 30 minutes, we will re-schedule and try again another day.

What about if it's cloudy or overcast?

If it's a cloudy day, that's actually a good thing as there won't be any odd shadows or bright sunlight to make you squint. The chances of a cloudy day here in Colorado are pretty slim though!

What happens next?

After your session, your images will be processed. It can take up to two weeks to complete processing during busy periods, however, I will try to do this as quickly as possible as I know that you will be anxious to see your photos.

Post production editing includes color correction, exposure adjustments and minor blemish removal if necessary.

Once processing is completed, I will contact you to set up an ordering appointment. At your ordering session you will see a slide show of your images and will choose your prints and products.
